Irsyad Adam, a Medical Informatics PhD student in the Ping Lab, presented his research at the ACM Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (BCB) 2025 conference on October 15, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ACM BCB conference aims to promote AI for Bio-medicine (AI4Bio), including cutting-edge AI advances in computational biology, bioinformatics, and health informatics, at the intersection of computer science, artificial intelligence, statistics, biology, and medicine. Irsyad was joined by co-author Steven Swee. His paper ATHENA: Atherosclerosis through Hierarchical Explainable Neural Network Analysis was accepted to the "AI/ML In Healthcare" session of the conference.
